“I Was Almost Burnt Alive” — Desmond Elliot Recounts Frightening Moment During EndSARS Protest

In a deeply emotional revelation, Lagos politician and Nollywood veteran Desmond Elliot has opened up about a harrowing moment during the 2020 EndSARS protest that nearly cost him his life. Speaking publicly about the traumatic experience, Elliot, 51, recalled how his office became the target of a violent attack as tensions in Lagos escalated during the historic youth-led demonstrations against police brutality. “I was almost burnt alive during the EndSARS protest,” he said. “A bottle of fuel with fire was thrown into my office with the intent to burn me alive.” Caught in what he described as the most terrifying moment of his life, Elliot quickly reached out to the Chief of Staff for urgent help. “I have never been so scared in my life.
