A recent viral video captures an incident between a young woman and an older woman dressed in a reverend sister’s attire on a public bus. The altercation, which reportedly began over a phone screen obstructing the view of the  escalated into a physical confrontation According to the young woman, she was quietly watching a video on her phone when the older woman asked her to lower it. Despite complying, the situation took another turn when the young woman began filming to document the event. At this point, the older woman allegedly assaulted her, tried to seize her phone, and even resorted to calling her an idiot. While everyone is entitled to comfort in shared spaces, no one has the right to resort to violence or intimidation—especially not under the guise of religious authority.
