NLC: Peter Obi Doesn’t Need PDP or Atiku to Defeat Tinubu in 2027

 The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has asserted that Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi does not need to form a coalition with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) or rely on figures like Atiku Abubakar or Nasir El-Rufai to defeat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections.


According to the NLC, Obi has already earned widespread national acceptance and remains one of the most capable candidates for the presidency. The union believes that if the 2027 elections are conducted freely and fairly, Obi stands a strong chance of emerging victorious on his own merit.


The statement is seen as a response to ongoing political speculations about possible alliances ahead of the next general elections.
