Influencer VeryDarkMan Arrested Over Complaints Against GTBank

 Popular Nigerian influencer VeryDarkMan has been arrested by the Nigeria Police Force in Abuja after raising concerns about unauthorized deductions from his mother’s GTBank account.

According to his lawyer, Barrister Deji Adeyanju, the arrest occurred at Area 3, Abuja, and was allegedly triggered by his public criticism of GTBank for repeated loan repayment deductions his mother never authorized.

Before the arrest, VeryDarkMan had posted evidence on social media showing suspicious withdrawals and demanded transparency from the bank. He and his mother visited a GTBank branch to request a detailed account statement. He stated that over seven deductions had occurred in 2025 alone.

Adeyanju criticized the arrest, stating it was simply for "speaking out" about the issue, raising concerns about freedom of expression and abuse of power.
